We were downtown a couple weeks ago and took the blue line from river road to Michigan ave then walked to Navy Pier and enjoyed a couple hours there. Then we walked around wacker and state street and there are people almost ever fifty feet looking for money and it's sad. And what really makes me mad is all the taxpayer money that goes to illegals that could be used to help the homeless. Now many homeless could be illegal don't really know. There was a gentleman in a doorway with two very young kids hiding in the corner. Just think about how all the tourists see Chicago when they see these homeless people. JMO

I have a great suggestion as how to make drivers slow down or even stop at stop signs. Put in speed bumps at the corners. It's that simple.
I lived on the twenty nine hundred block of Long Ave for twenty years at the corner of Long and Wellington. And for those familiar with the intersection it has had a flower pot in the intersection for many years and has caused many accidents. My point is traffic circles don't stop the bad drivers among us they just speed around the flower pots. Put speed bumps at every stop sign and people have no choice but to stop. And the ones that don't deserve what they get. 😃

Can't give a thumbs up or down on any post. I'm guessing it's not my phone because of comments in other posts.

This is kind of off topic.
As far as Trump goes we all should give him a chance to see what he can do and accomplish in his first term.
I didn't vote for our current President but I hoped he would good for the country.
We should give people a chance and not form our opinions on being either left or right of the aisle.

Thanks for the info guys. It seems that the way dealerships do business needs to keep up with the bad guys.

Never knew there is such a thing as a sixty day notice. I was an agent in the mid eighties and I don't recall such a rule.
I moved out of a senior center last August and even there it was just a thirty day notice. But what do I know i'm old. 😄

That's one reason I moved out of chiraq. And it's called crime and all the gangs.

I think it has to do with who you know and how much you're willing to pay to get a job along with what political party you vote for.
I've known people that have paid to get their foot in the door.
And don't get me started on the Post Office or the CTA.

At one time I lived in an apt building that had a few robberies so I purchased a couple fake cameras and put them on the first floor and second floor landings. My unit was never broken into. Who knows if the cameras had anything to do with it.

I lived in the building for a year and I was the first tennant in my unit and the building is very beautiful in and out. And Very nice tennants.
Management has some very strict rules some needed and some not.
Overall my one year there was very nice and made some really nice friends.

If anyone is interested there's a gun store at 2306 W. Grand Ave in Melrose Park called Suburban sporting goods. If I'm not mistaken.

I'm in my late fifties and I just moved out of chiraq last September.
I really don't worry that much anymore about walking around any time of the day or night where I live now. Which wasn't the case where I used to live.
I lived at six corners from August 2015 till August 2016 and before that I lived in the Belmont Central area for about twenty years and it got to point where I didn't walk around outside after dark. To many shootings and robberies all the time.

As far as I know Chiraq has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country.
