Thayer J. Hill Middle School will hold its annual Gingerbread Junction Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the school, 1836 Brookdale Road.

Rabbi David Eliezrie, author of "The Secret of Chabad," will speak at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Chabad Jewish Center, 1935 Brookdale Road.

The Wimpiest Party Ever, based on the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series, will be held at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the Nichols Library, 200 W. Jefferson Ave.

Journalist Dan Rather will speak and take questions from the audience during a book event at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at North Central College's Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave.

Participants can tour four homes decorated for the holidays and shop at the holiday market for seasonal gifts. The market will be held at North Central College's Harold and Eva White Activities Center, 325 E. Benton Ave.

The Guild of St. Patrick's Residence Annual Christmas Cookie Walk and Boutique will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at 1400 Brookdale Road.

Families can visit Santa and Mrs. Claus from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 2 at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St.

Tickets must be purchased from the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, 55 S. Main St., Suite 351. They are $25 each and proceeds benefit Little Friends Inc.

Lisa Aviles, 30, of the 100 block of South Geneva Street, Elgin, arrested on a charge of operating an uninsured motor vehicle at 9:26 a.m. Oct. 31 in the 1600 block of West Diehl Road.

Car broken into

An suv parked in the driveway in front of my boyfriends house was broken into last night. No sign of forced entry. Items and money both stolen. He lives in northeast part of Naperville. Has anyone else had this happen?
