We need to have more players to come in to use the facility to justify the extra court, if you have not played the sport before come on in and give it a try. We are always looking for new players to join us. Friday and Sunday we are open to non members to come in and play. It's for 18 yrs olds and over. Make sure to bring tennis or gym shoes. This is a great workout for all ages. Also a great way to meet new friends.

Neighborhood news about Chicago suburbs

Hello,

I'd like to learn more about Chicago's near suburbs, but EveryBlock seems to only cover Evanston. Is there an active message board similar to EveryBlock that covers suburbs like Skokie, Glenview, and Des Plaines?

Thanks!

  • Catherine NO!

As silly as it sounds, I'm not sure of the names of the suburbs. I have a lot more Googling to do. At this very early stage, I see different names on Google maps for the same area and I'm not sure why. (Do suburbs have neighborhoods? Do villages exist within cities or are they completely separate entities?)

I'm not familiar with any suburb besides Skokie and Evanston, because those are the two that the CTA train line goes to.

ISO: Houseplants and grow lights

Hello,

I'm a houseplant hobby grower and could use more plant grow lights. These can include LEDs, florescent tube lights, workshop lights, aquarium lights, etc. If you have items you don't need, please let me know!

I could also use plant propagation plug trays. This sometimes comes with seed starting kits.

I mainly grow succulents/cacti, orchids, and tillandsia. I'm open to trades.

Thanks!
