Mimi- Toy Poodle, 8 lbs, brown, very shy. Got away Friday (3-9-18) night around 10:30pm near Pratt and Clark in Rogers Park. Last seen heading north on Clark. She lost her collar. She is chipped. If found please bring her to a nearest vet, Evanston animal shelter, or call Homeagain at 888-466-3242.

The 41-year-old man and his 50-year-old girlfriend were drinking alcohol at her friend’s apartment in the 700 block of Seward Street when they got into an argument, Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew said. The woman told police her boyfriend was trying to sleep with her friend.
The man became threatening and the couple left the apartment separately, Glew said. The woman returned to her home in the 700 block of Mulford Street around 4 p.m. Her boyfriend met her at the back door and demanded the keys to the car they were renting, Glew said.
The Evanston resident said he was walking in the 300 block of Asbury Avenue toward the Red Line at 2:45 p.m. Saturday when four men approached him. Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew said one told the man “run your pockets,” which he told police he took as a robbery and fled.

Firefighters responded to a 3-story home in the 1300 block of Oakton Street around 5 a.m.
Firefighters rushed to the home around 5 a.m. in the 1300 block of Oakton Street, where they found an apartment building in flames. The fire had started on the top floor of the building was quickly extinguished, fire officials said.
Police warned those in the area to avoid the intersection of Oakton and Asbury as crews worked at the scene.
