It stuns me that the priorities of some Archer Heights residents --including a few AHCA 'town fathers'-- is SO skewed.
In getting all up-in-arms over a small group of homeless men trying to survive on the mean streets around Archer Ave. and Kedvale (citing that their children going to school shouldn't be subjected to the sight of these homeless people).
Meanwhile, a confessed murderer--of a mother of three children (who assaulted, murdered and stuffed her in a bag and left her in his uncle's garage to rot for two months!), has lived right nearby-'off Archer and Keeler-- all this time your children are walking these same streets as those "darn, dangerous homeless", oh my!
(Now, I'm sure you wouldn't want your kids subjected to something the likes of this murderous demon passing them on Archer Ave)!
Yet, there's a lot more of similar horrendous crimes and criminals (shootings, stabbings, prostitution, child abduction and abuse, armed robberies, etc. going on in and around Archer Heights.
Far worse to deal with than a few homeless men struggling to get by (even "the one in the wheelchair" as some complaining resident put it).
So, shame on you folks! Your upcoming public library meeting should be about all this terrible violent crime happening in and around Archer Heights, and not picking on a few down-on-their-luck men....
You wanna do something pro-active (instead of complaining at meetings)-- help these homeless (teach your children a Civics lesson; and a moral lesson in community compassion).
