Have you seen my beloved cat?

Never thought I'd have to make one of these for my beloved Tommy. Tommy is a very playful indoor/outdoor cat with a lot of personality. Very fast runner, very strong. Friendly. Won't generally go up to strangers. Has a baby-ish meow and personality and is quite "chatty" often chortling. He's a determined little guy,a little less then a year and a half old,and full of energy but also loves his naps and ear and chin rubs.

  • NFord If you see black labs please return to me. haha

    Hello,
I can't be sure but we have seen a small grey stripped cat two days in a row in the area of Keeler and 61st street. I seen kitty crossing street just this morning. I know its further out from your area. I will certainty watch out for this cat and attempt to get a picture and better look.

  • Hmm,interesting. I can't imagine him going that far,but it's worth checking out. Please do get a picture if you can. He's long and lanky in build and has a super fast, kind of awkward(adorable) run. Thank you so much. I will check the area asap.

Eviction procedures

Does anybody know a good lawyer to start an eviction for unpaid rent?
is ridiculous that cases for eviction for lack of payment sometimes take from 2 months to 8 months, Rental Property owners are in disadvantage due to the negligence and or abusive laws on behalf of tenants.
Thank you

Help prevent frozen pipes, let the water flow

I though it was common knowledge, based on my conversation with a neighbor, but you should be running water in your home to help prevent frozen pipes during this arctic cold. The water should be flowing in a steady stream, about 1/4" thick stream of constant water flow. My elderly neighbor has mobility issues and does not go into her basement. Her water was coming out very slowly. Luckily the pipe didn't burst and I was able to restore normal flow with a heat gun. It's cheaper to run the water than to repair a ruptured pipe and the damage caused along with the inconvenience of being without water.

  • I only mentioned a host of proven remedies for prevention of frozen pipes not to get into a drawn out conversation. Personally I could care less which route anyone takes.

  • crskrys work at a west lawn business

I work on 63 st. And since we moved into our new office we have had to run water all winter long so it wouldn't freeze. And we were told to do this by the water dept. You would think they could come up with a solution after all this time.

Thank you CHICAGO police department
I bought my wife and kids a minivan Toyota almost new 10 toushand miles on it for Christmas yesterday we were going to go out but it was to cold
So today my wife was changing the plates and was going to get new city sticker and do the transfer plates
A police officer pull next to my wife got out and started writing a ticket my wife told look I’m changing the plates right now I got for Christmas
He told her you lucky you only get one ticket
I was on the window recording everything
We got a ticket because he say he got orders to give tickets
I tough their job was tough to serve and protect
It just got me thinking maybe he had a bad Christmas I don’t know
Cops here in this city especially around here I never hear of good things about them it’s an attitude and culture problem plus ignorance
And I got it on video
What should I do?

  • Phill "Obama wants to know everything"

Post it to YouTube. Everyone gets unfair tickets (especially parking tickets) because the policemen are pressed so hard to give as much tickets as possible for any silly reason. In Chicago we got red light cameras, speed cameras, (all for revenue, "safety" is just the excuse) and policemen with orders to produce money for the city.

  • Don’t pay the ticket. Appeal it on the grounds you are following the spirit of the law if not the letter. Include copies of the receipts including the bill of sale for the car. They only care about the money anyway so you need to show you paid all the...

Don’t pay the ticket. Appeal it on the grounds you are following the spirit of the law if not the letter. Include copies of the receipts including the bill of sale for the car. They only care about the money anyway so you need to show you paid all the fees in a timely manner. People work odd hours, multiple jobs, easy to forget to put stickers on or screw on a plate. I think the policeman could have used a bit more discretion but he didn’t and here we are. Write a short concise note, leave out the hurt feelings part and I bet you beat it. I wouldn’t go to the District Commander -with all the new oversight his hands could be tied. It’s not the old days where you can ask for these kinds of favors anymore. Good luck.
