Safe and Peaceful Communities - Gage Park

This week, the Chicago Fund for Safe and Peaceful Communities has awarded AWOFINC a 2018 grant, one of 132 rapid-response grants to support activities that promote safe and peaceful conditions in 19 prioritized Chicago communities. AWOFINC's Parent Information & Resouces, Violence Prevention Consortium and Youth Leadership & Development initiatives seek to identify and establish Community-Based Participatory Partnerships with groups and organizations. The consortium will be actively engaging multiple communities. He filed a lawsuit Thursday accusing the Chicago police detectives who forced him to confess of conspiring with others to get him convicted of a crime he did not commit.
