My experience with this school was good at first. After my child was there for a while a lot of issues needed to be addressed. I feel that when my child started needing more support with bullying, tutoring, and racism complaints it became more problematic for my child. The staff,a lot of teachers, most of the students, the principal ,and definitely the assistant principal treated my child like my child was the problem. If that wasnt bad enough. My child suffers from a lot of issues because of this. My child was attacked by a group of students who bullied my child constantly. i was not informed of this attack until the end of school day when i picked my child up. THE PRINCIPAL OF CASSELL LEFT ME WITH LAST WORDS THE NEXT DAY AFTER THIS ATTACK. I CALLED THE SCHOOL TO GET MY SON TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER SCHOOL. THE PRINCIPAL HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL ME AFTER MY CHILD WAS ATTACKED 3 STUDENTS PLUS 4 OTHER STUDENTS KICKING MY CHILD WHILE ON THE FLOOR. THE PRINCIPAL SAID TO ME THAT THE ONLY TIME SHE SEEN MY CHILD BEING SINCERE IS AFTER THIS ATTACK. SHE ALSO SAID FOR MY CHILD NOT TO CONTACT ANY OF THE STUDENTS AT THAT SCHOOL EVER AGAIN, BECAUSE MY CHILD HAS NO REASON TO BECAUSE THEY DO NOT LIKE MY CHILD. So my over all experience is my child was forced out of this school by bullying. Some teachers, staff, and principals were calling themselves not liking my child anymore because of my child concerns/complaints & me complaining for my child when needed.

My child was having some bad interactions with some of her classmates and the administration were awesome in supporting us. They acted on in right away and had my child sit down with her classmates to figure out why the bad behavior was happening. It's SO different than the kind of response from just a few years ago. We love Cassell and all that it has to offer!
