Chris Kennedy got it right: people of color are being pushed out of Chicago intentionally

Want to get specific? Let's go back to the area around North and Clybourn. In 1981, it was dominated by Cabrini-Green, a public housing project with roughly 30,000 low- income residents, most of them black.

But wait, there's more. To the west of Halsted and Division is an old industrial area that's one of the hottest real estate markets in...

Redesigned Old Town apartment project to be discussed at community meeting

First revealed in late 2016 as a 14-story building containing 365 rental apartments, the mixed-use project at the corner of North and Larrabee was scaled back to 10 stories and 293 units. It was subsequently rejected in September due to lingering concerns over parking, traffic, and density.

Just read some of this thread. Steve sounds like your the only one impressed with yourself. Whats the big deal about an Eve of the Eve party at Merch Mart that anybody could drop $160 for. It's not some exclusive shindig that's by invitation only. You can see Maggie Speaks at any of the numerous summer fest's all over the city ( but not downtown!! ) every summer for free. I don't think anybody at the party was all that impressed with you either Steve or you wouldn't be spending your time on EveryBlock with all us dumb paupers. Poor Steve. Too smart and rich for everyone.

  • Correction: he is neither.
