I usually really enjoy the live music that the festivals bring right outside of my window on Sheffield. But this year outdoor KARAKOE with the worst singers ever blasted on loudspeakers!! How is this not noise pollution and illegal?!? I’m about to go buy an air horn and just start blowing it out of my window u til they stop!!

I have lots of plants that need dividing and I'm happy to share with my neighbors. Both sun and shade perennials, including several kinds of hosta, coreopsis, purple daylilies, campanula, spiderwort, Japanese anemones, heliopsis, black-eyed susans, goldenrod, sea oats, Culver's root, trumpet vine, autumn-flowering clematis, iris, garlic chives, mint.......and more. Google these names if you want to see what they look like in bloom. Contact me if you're interested.
P.S. "Acts of kindness" seems odd but no other category fits!

I'm looking for a portable air conditioner for as cheap as possible until our central AC is repaired. Any and all leads are welcome, thanks.

Hi, would anyone know what the Salvation Army stores discounts are on Fridays? I thought the sign said after 6 pm 75% off everything. Please advise.

I live in a 5 story 1920s condo building with 10 units. There are a total of 4 plumbing riser stacks (galvanized) in the building. We have these risers routed out every year. Our contractor is recommending we route the risers twice a year now.
I am looking for recommendations for reputable plumbers with experience in vintage buildings. We are interested in getting professional opinions on such topics as:
1. Should we even be routing the pipes given their age and potential frailty?
2. Is power flushing a better option to routing?
3. What is remaining useful life and potential approaches to replacement?
Thanks much for any and all suggestions!
