Are you welcome, though? There's a lot of anti gentrification tension there

  • RAKARWOWSKI RETIRED CITY WORKER, CLEANING UP HUMBOLDT PARK

I and my new neighbors welcome all. That anti gentrification tension is probably why Humboldt Park rents are lower. If you check the news, many neighbors have started to put an end to the violence on their own. We are going after stores and buildings that attract gangs and violent criminals. Get rid of problem stores and buildings, you stop the anti gentrification movement. Join us in making Humboldt Park a great place to raise a family again. Together we can.

Seeking Recommendations for Furnace Repair Service Company

Can anyone recommend a trustworthy and reasonably priced HVAC repair service?

  • I second Deljo

  • Spyros at A Climate Source. I think I found him on here when Deljo (who I had used before too) couldn't get an emergency appointment scheduled for 6 days. (Furnace motor for a tenant stopped in -20.) Since then all my business has gone to Spyros. I've met his whole crew over the years and like them all. Good pricing too.

Nemr’s Lebanese-American comedy is powerful enough to change the world

Nemr is at The Laugh Factory, 3175 N. Broadway, Chicago, on Friday, April 6 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 (no waiting in line, guaranteed seating) and $30 (first come, first served, possible standing room only). Buy tickets here.

Nemr's Lebanese-American comedy is powerful enough to change the world
When I hung up the phone after my conversation with Nemr, I was changed. I felt a surge of optimism and emotional strength. The world felt smaller in a good way and I could envision the connections between people, even where we've been told that there aren't any.
