CHICAGO | Authorities have arrested a Chicago man who was indicted on drug charges last year.

Officials allege Otha R.Coleman, Aaron Jones and others distributed crack cocaine in the killeen,Tx area in 2013 and 2014.

Officers with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force arrested Coleman, 27, Nov 8 in the Austin area following a traffic stop and a short foot chase.

He will appear in U.S. District Court in Texas on Monday on a charge of conspiracy to deliver crack cocaine and distribution of crack.

Coleman and Jones were indicted in June 2014, and Jones was arrested that same month.

Authorities allege the two traveled to Chicago to obtain crack and then returned to Texas to repackage and sell it. Jones sold crack to undercover officers eight times in 2013, and he sold a .22-caliber Phoenix Arms handgun to undercover officers Dec. 4, 2013.

Jones, 26, who is barred from handling guns because of a 2011 weapons conviction in Cook County Illinois, pleaded guilty to drug and firearms charges and in December was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison.

A warrant was issued for Coleman, after he failed to apper at court hearing.

Lost cream colored long haired cat!!

My beautiful boy Luka is an indoor cat but got out of the house at Hirsch and Homan 4 weeks ago. Long haired Siberian. Cream and white fur. Very social and loving.

We have been leaving food out and posting flyers. I think he was spotted at Central Park and Pierce two weeks ago looking skinny. I’ll post pics soon. The app isn’t allowing it on my phone.

  • When my cat got out, I put a trap on my porch with a blanket over it with food mixture of tuna in oil and sardines. I caught her within 24 hours. She had been gone for about 4 weeks. Good luck and keep us posted.

Kenneka's death photos raise more speculation

I cannot claim to have been one of the people fixated on the Kenneka Jenkins death investigation. Her tragic demise in a freezer at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont was grisly. Like others, however, I connected to the tragedy even though I didn't know the young lady. The facts and details as they have filtered out never struck me as being totally forthcoming and truthful. The "missing pieces" have all pointed to an attempt to lay blame and cause without indicting anyone as the villain, with the exception of the hotel.

What about the couple who rented the hotel room with the stolen credit card? I've seen the video but the names haven't been blasted about for me to know who they are. Or the woman, Irene, in the dark glasses at the hotel, whose riveting "live" broadcast has faded from the spotlight. The males who were at the party who were fraternizing with those underage girls (especially in terms of alcohol). The "friends" of Kenneka who had her purse, cellphone and the keys to her car, but not her!

  • Miguel N. Dejesus Man of Peace

I strongly believe that Kenneka Jenkins was murdered! The Police and video technology can be comprised! Justice for Kenneka cries out and we must continue to seek the truth!
