Possible revenue stream for Chicago?

At 5:30 a.m. cars on Lake Shore Drive travel at an average of about 65 MPH, and some are going 80 MPH. I believe the speed limit is 40 MPH to protect the roads, so why not install speed cameras to enforce the limit? Or if the high rate of speed isn’t bad for the roads, raise the speed limit so it isn’t so much of a joke.

I cut to the chase for you!
Red light cameras would not improve safety on LSD instead it would increase rear end collisions.
This is why we have studies. In the hopes that people bother reading them before posting uniformed opinions.

In Wonder, a deformed child isn't the only flawed character
August Pullman, the ten-year-old boy at the center of Stephen Chbosky's Wonder, is severely deformed: the bridge of his nose reaches to his forehead in a straight line, the corners of his eyes are pulled down in a perpetual sob, his cheeks are traced by scars, and withered ears peek out from under his long hair.

In a Pittsburgh field, 53,402 poppies would honor those America lost in World War I
Robert Charlesworth has an ambitious goal and a year from this Veterans Day to achieve it. He needs an artist or two who can work with steel and glass; a prominent, expansive public lawn on which to plant poppies that the artists fabricate; the generosity of Pittsburgh corporations to provide materials; and donors to help him raise $1 million for veterans' charities by the Nov.

Lead levels in the water in Lincoln Park

Hello, my husband saw a City of Chicago employee on Bissell Street today. The City of Chicago employee said he was testing the water for lead because it had shown high levels. Is this common knowledge in Lincoln Park? Should we not be drinking the water?

Oddly, the city was doing some work on Fullerton (near Racine) over the summer and shortly after that work, my water pressure fluctuated greatly and my water turned a brownish color. I contacted the city and my alderman's office several times but was never able to get a straightforward answer. The water eventually turned back to a normal color, but again no answers. I did have my water tested by the city. They confirmed there was no bacteria, but never got back to me regarding the metal test. I've attempted to contact them several times. Needless to say, this hasn't left me confident.

In a year of sorry national spectacles, none seems more bitter or pointless than the feud that broke out last month between the Trump administration and the family of Sergeant La David Johnson, one of four U.S. soldiers killed in Niger during an ambush by Islamist militants.

Looking for referral for someone to seal vent from kitchen hood on the outside

I recently installed a kitchen hood and am looking for someone to seal the external vent and put a cap on it from the outside. It is currently sealed with expandable foam and I want a more permanent solution. The vent is located about four stories up on a five story condo building, the building has concrete block on the side.

Red-Light Camera Ticket Refund

You may be entitled to a refund from the City of Chicago's recent red-light camera settlement. Learn how you can check online to see if you qualify to receive a refund or have your violation debt forgiven.

Check to See if you are Entitled to a Red Light Camera Refund
As many drivers in and around the City of Chicago know, red-light cameras have been installed on many of the intersections we navigate. Unfortunately, many of us know all too well of how they work as you may have received a violation notice in the mail sometime soon after seeing the flash of the camera as you went through an intersection.
    http://illinoisestateplanning.blogspot.com
  • I entered three tickets and none of them were eligible. Did anyone else have any luck?
