Restaurant Robbery

de Quay Restaurant was robbed last Tuesday 3/13 at approximately 4 AM in the morning.
The perp. got away with all the restaurants I pads and some cash.

There was some minor physical damage. We have the perp on video, but police cannot make any identification as person was wearing black hoodie and gloves.... left no fingerprints.

We believe person or persons are working the Lincoln Park Neighborhood.

Thank you for the update David. I hope the business does not suffer for it too much.
I have enjoyed your restaurant on at least four occasions and highly recommend it to. any and all who like Dutch-Indonesian fusion. It is so good, and great wines to boot!

Blue Bins

Does any one else have a problem with the blue bin pickups. They haven't picked them up 2 times in a row. They are too fussy. First they had the blue bag fiasco and now they are so particular that if there's one small item that doesn't pass muster they don't pick the trash up. i will just have my tenants toss everything into the black trash bins. What a screwed up city!!

  • krw

Yes, I think blue bins would still work. But I'm sure labeling every product with that symbol (which many already have) rather than those ridiculous instructions would make a world of difference.

  • Thanks, good to know that I'm not the only one trying to do the right thing but having to deal with all the rules. It's not just me, it's having to try to educate my tenants and then of course no control over the blue bins when they are outside.

Litter on 600 block W. Drummond

Has anyone else noticed this? There is a chronic issue with fast food litter and dog waste on the 600 block of West Drummond. Cups, bags, wrappers and of course dog waste are constantly piled up on this stretch of street across from the school yard. Who is doing this? U.S. Postal workers? Construction workers? Kids and parents at games? There are multi-million dollar homes on this block too. It's shameful to have this much filth constantly accumulating.

Walkway repair

Anyone know of folks who do great work with walkways between houses - including problems from water runoff that contributed to cracked and sunken cement?

Lincoln Park townhouse with fully private backyard asks $1.1M
We all love those homes drenched in natural light with floor-to-ceiling windows. But how often do they overlook a busy street or directly into your neighbors kitchen? They end up with curtains forever pulled shut. However, that's not the case with this three-story Lincoln Park townhouse.
