New Restaurant in Edison Park

How is the new restaurant in EP..Soup and Scoop? Assume it is take-out only. When did it open?

  • It's really cute in there. Soups change daily. I think they're made in the kitchen at Firewater and brought over. We had the potato leek and beef vegetable. Both were good, but just warm, not hot. I would definitely check out for lunch or pick up for a quick, cheap meal on the go.

  • It's dine-in or takeout too.

    Do they have a website?

They did provide me with their license info when I asked for it. Best of luck!

Black and white cat

There is a cat that has been hanging around our backyard for about 6 months. It is black with white face and chest no tags. We are not cat people but are worried he / she will freeze to death out there. If he / she comes and goes we think she may have owners nearby. Will he / she survive in this cold?

  • Hi Silent..thanks for caring! There is a Facebook.group called Chicago.Community Cats you msybeish to.join. There are Feral Cat Shelters. • From Wikipedia:
"Printer's Row, also known as Printing House Row, is a neighborhood located south of the Chicago downtown area known as the Loop. The heart of Printer's Row is generally defined by Congress Parkway on the north, Polk Street on the south, Plymouth Court on the east, and the Chicago River on the west. "

What Are the Safest Neighborhoods in Chicago?
Edison Park, Forest Glen and Mount Greenwood top the list for "safest" neighborhoods in Chicago. "Safe" is always a murky term since you can't quantify safety purely on the amount of crime in an area - however, a lot of renters who reach out to me asking about safety cite crime as the primary metric they're concerned about.

Early in Oct., our dog & I were attacked by an unleashed dog in the park.we raised
Our concens with the park district, the alderman, & the police. Last week we attended
a police CAPS meeting that had the issue on the agenda.

Hopefully, the appearance of the new signs, is the result of the issue being taken seriously. Thanks to those responsible !! I hope our neighbours & fellow dog owners
Will do the same.

I see this at the DMV all the time. It's my fault you received three speeding ticket convictions in one year. It's my fault you did not pay the fines or appear at your hearings. And now it's my fault that your driving privileges are suspended.
