Cleaning Services

Anyone know of any good cleaning/maid services? Just moved into my condo and want to hire a company to come in once a week and do cleaning.

Thanks in advance!

Coyotes

They are here. If you have a small dog, don't leave them unattended. If you walk a big dog be prepared and have some form of defense. Since I believe it's a couple. Now those of you that will freak out, DON'T. I had them on video back on October. They are great,. Great rodent eliminators. God knows we need that here. This neighborhood is infested. Anywhere near Jeff Terminal is REALLY bad. Just be alert, and if you see...

Now those of you that will freak out, DON'T. I had them on video back on October. They are great,. Great rodent eliminators. God knows we need that here. This neighborhood is infested. Anywhere near Jeff Terminal is REALLY bad. Just be alert, and if you see one, make noise, yell at them. They will run the other way. Just an FYI. I watched them for over an hour or two around 6 pm Tonite in my alley. Working on my car. They don't want to be around people. So, respect them and rodent problem will be a thing of the past. They can hang in my alley all they want. I welcome them, we need them people, so don't get crazy. Just watch your small animals, as you should in the first place.

  • I live one block away from Gompers Park and we have seen them around here as well. Once I was driving down Pulaski and saw them in Bohemian National Cemetery. (I thought they were dogs at first, and thought "who brings their dogs to a cemetery? LOL)

  • @Alyssa, I had the same experience at Graceland Cemetery. I saw something run by me out of the corner of my eye and thought someone was taking their dog for a walk. Nope, it was a coyote. Apparently a whole pack of them live there and were planted by the city to curb the rat situation.

Does anyone know what is going on with all the helicopters in the Harlem/Addison area? I heard plenty of sirens as well as helicopters flying above.

AirBNB Cleaning

Is anyone in the area interested in making some money doing some sporadic AirBNB cleaning? It's roughly 30 minutes of work a couple times a month. I'd offer $25 to someone I can trust to stop by and clean.

Unfortunately, there is usually only 1-3 days notice and the cleaning has to be done between 11:00am-2:00pm.

Addison & Central

  • Greetings,

I live right off of Addison and Central. I have housekeeping experience and would be interested in hearing more about this position. I have excellent references that could easily be verified. I would be available immediately. Also, I would be able to work around a last minute cleaning.

    Sincerely,

    Mary

I'm interested too. Is there a number to reach u at. I also live by Irving n Austin

Neighbor running an illegal auto-shop from his garage.2-3 cars parked around his house. Since the garage is full of shop equipment & cars, this means at least 5-6 cars are parked on the street outside his house and mine. Loud noise throughout the day, fuel and oil smell, improper disposal of hazardous liquids, no fire extinguishers observed, no permit in window. Constant drop offs of cars or snowblowers and lawn mowers, back yard trashed. equipment everywhere and covered up with brown materials. Smell, noise, illegal activity in this beautiful neighborhood. Police called in several times since the owner is verbally abusive and threatening that he is gonna kill or "take care of us" if we complain. Went to alderman for 60634 zip code and was told to keep complaining and calling 911 every time the neighbor is doing an illegal activity. Attended a meeting at Portage Park with CPD and they said that city will send extra police rounds if needed. Any advice will be appreciated.

  • Sposato is useless. Brought some complaints to him and he brushed them off. Best to ogo over him or the newspaper. The key is total neighbor involvement and being the squeeky wheel.

  • You just have to give Sposato a bigger envelope than this neighbor. All pencil neck Sposato cares about is his two city pensions.
