Take Out Containers

A while back someone posted that they had a lot of plastic take out containers with lids and they were wondering if anyone had a use for them as it seemed a waste to pitch them. A person posted that her friend could use them as she worked to feed individuals in a shelter in the Milwaukee area I believe. I have been giving them to her but her friend has now moved. Does anyone have any thoughts on who/where might be able to use these.

Water Bill Charges

Hello, So I am wondering if anyone else here gets charged for water fixtures on their water bill. Particularly speaking of non-metered bills. I own a small ranch style home and my bill has always been double of my friends or family. My last bill was $1000+ where as others are usually around $500.

I was told by Dept of Water that only properties larger than single family homes get charged for water fixtures, and my property is classified as a single family home, but I still get charged for the water fixtures.

Anyone else with a relatively small home have the same experience?

  • You may have a water leak. If you request a meter they will be able to tell you immediately if there is a leak. They will also let you know if you have water running constantly if you have a meter installed. I have received letters regarding a tenant running the water for 2 hours.

  • Pamela, yes that does make sense, but I am trying to understand why am I getting charged for fixture where others are not. It is not extra spigots as you mention, just getting charged the following:

    2 FLRS 24' WIDE BLDG
    (0001) BATH TUB
    (0001) HOSE FRONTAGE 1'-30'
    (0001) SINK...

Neighbors and families who also are non-metered only have 2 FLRS 24' WIDE BLDG and their hose frontage listed that is what I am talking about and trying to understand if this would be normal and/or if other non-metered see these charges as well...hope this makes sense.
