  • Kenwood Academy High School reviewed by a parent

The staff at this school is incompetent and rude. It amazes me that they hire these people to interact with not only our kids but the public as well. They are good at sweeping everything under the rug and never taking responsibility or ownership for anything. I have not run into anyone at this school who is willing to help. They will only continue to go down hill.

Cat Seeks Groomer

The last lion cut has grown out, it's time for a 'tween time touch-up. Cat is very curious, accustomed to a 2-person team grooming team because he wiggles a lot.
Suggestions?? Recommendations??

  • Hi Nancy,

Cindy, at Hyde Park Animal Hospital on Stony Island does a great job with squirmy cats! She's incredibly loving and sensitive to all the animals she grooms. We followed her from Parker's Pets after they closed to this new location. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Looking for a management company

We are a small HOA looking for a reliable company to manage our day to day activities. We need assistance with fees, grounds, and maintenance issues. We haven't had much luck looking in the chamber of commerce directories. Some of the opinions of customers as I read through comments make me cringe. We need a good company that cares about the its customers, attentive to the needs of customers. and has integrity. There are many townhomes and condos in the area, please share your best company. Thank you all in advance.

  • would advise on having the financials handled by a management company and handle the maintenance yourself. You should look at www.chicagoecondosolutions.com they have a financial package for a low price based on the number of units. Other services on demand if needed.

  • FitMom Neighborhood Blogger

Thank you all for your suggestions I’ll check them all out within the next few days.

Crime to Vehicle 5400 South Shore Dr.

I witnessed an unusual suspicious incident yesterday 11 AM 5440 South Shore drive.

2 Men got out of a Black SUV stood in the middle of the street and operated some very large, loud piece of machinery (Chain saw?) and stood over another vehicle. The men acted very suspiciously and glared menacingly at me when I noticed them. I think they were trying to cut off a City "Boot" that had immobilized the other car. They may have been attempting to steal a Catalytic Converter. This ended when the two jumped in to the Black SUV and sped off.

Suspects were 2 AA men ~ the ages of 25-30.

  • Did you get their license plate number?

  • jaye els Returned to Hyde Park Kenwood

    Joe Jank,

No I didn't get the license plate and to be honest the two thieves noticed me noticing them and were putting out extreme hostile vibes.
