Burglarized

Lock your doors with good quality deadbolts. This includes garage doors too. Lock aluminum ladders up as well. Don't leave anything of value in your garages. Install iron gates on both sides of the house. Its getting worse and worse. We all know why.

  • Interesting comment but gang bangers will break into homes and garages every chance they get.

  • Hey Roman M what's it gonna take for you to pull your neighbors together? A brick through the window is an inconvenience, but a baby getting shot while sleeping in thier bed is not enough? That's where it's gonna go.

You and your neighbors just make it known that the thugs aren't welcome. As for weapons , conceal carry. Get one. We had the same situation here on my block. We got our neighbors together. Called the cops, I myself was threatened by them. As a women with kids I'm not putting up with that. I threatened back I have no fear of them. I got my conceal carry. I don't walk around like Wyatt Earp flashing my gun. I'm certainly not gonna hide when I have kids in the community that want to run and play. More parents here are following our footsteps and we have more conceal carry. We all are outside with our kids talking to each other. Thugs still come by, and they keep going.
Be visual, stay informing each other, don't let them win.

Amazing School

Excellent!!
St Bruno Catholic School has exceeded my expectations on my child's education! The teachers are amazing! The students are all being taught beyond subjects like science and math. They also are taught values, morals, kindness, compassion, etc. They have activities and events that allow parents and students to get involved and further build friendships. St Bruno offers before and after school care, a wonderful asset to working parents. I highly recommend taking a tour and seeing for yourself what a lovely community this school has built with their excellent teachers, staff and students!!

St. Bruno school is the best!

Back in 2011, after an extensive academic research, tours, and open houses looking for the top elementary school to send my only daughter, at the time, I casually visited St. Bruno Catholic School. Back in 2011, after an extensive academic research, tours, and open houses looking for the top elementary school to send my only daughter, at the time, I casually visited St. Bruno Catholic School. I was then, and have always been welcome by their cordial secretaries, Mrs. Kubick and Mrs. Rose. I was instantly invited for a school tour and was able to witness first hand many neurons firing among the students. I truly believe this environment to be conducive to high educational level, high spiritual standards, as well as a high sense of commitment to one another. At St. Bruno, the teachers are extremely dedicated to the student growth as a whole. And the rest of the staff enthusiastically participates in their continued asuccess. I was surprised to learn how the eight graders actively interacted with the students in Kindergarden, and how the school dynamics allowed for the school building to feel like a safe and joyful home. I highly believe that the best gift for my children is their education. And, I will do everything in my power for them to get the best! Therefore, as a mother of two now, I highly recommend you this magnificent school!

39,000 homicides: Retracing 60 years of murder in Chicago
The spike in violent crime that has plagued Chicago since 2016 has even more gravity when viewed in comparison with six decades of homicides in Chicago. Since 1957, the city has had homicide totals of 700 or more nearly half the time, 27 of 60 years, and has been lower than 500 a third of the time, 19 of 60 years.
