anyone know about LaFonda? Is it closing for good or moving? I always enjoyed this restaurant - it was a great addition to the many excellent restaurants in Edgewater.

Yes, I think it’s a great idea to organize! Yes we all know most of the politicians are worthless, so let’s do it! We simply cannot wait or expect for politicians to solve our neighborhood issues. Yes that’s what they’re paid to do and most of us feel we’re not getting served.

Lets organize a North Kenwood WATCH Group! 🌝

I’d like to see a little more “pride of ownership” — there’s sooo much trash over here. Liquor bottles, food containers, dog mess, blunt wrappers. Let’s do a Spring Clean soon! That way we can meet each other and get things done! What would you like to see happen?

how about the 70 plus cars broken into between Ellis and Ingelside on 53rd street since last November. Everyone who has parked on the diagonal park near Kozminski and north on the same street. Has seen cars broken into every 3 days. My fiance contacted the Alderman and Police. His car was one of those. We have observed this since November but its been going on much longer than that. I have pictures up on NextDoor. The heavy snow storm blocked most of the driver seeing the glass. Then sometime last week somebody swept away some of the glass. Its a mystery.

  • We all need to tank Kimm Foxx for creating this problem. She cares more about the criminals than the community. She should the Public Defender not the Chief Prosecutor.

  • jaye els Returned to Hyde Park Kenwood

Yep. also my former Kenwood alderman Tim Evans shares much of the blame. These two are practicing catch and release of basically all criminals short of murder and even with murder the conviction rate is ~ 12%. Chicago's punks, criminals are literally getting away with murder!
