Lost Dogs Illinois added a new photo.

Home at last! Poochi-Cabezon - W. Highland White Terrier Westie American Eskimo Dog from #Chicago #IL is home safe & sound. Message: "The person who had him let him go near Pulaski and 26th street. CACC found him there and called us to let us know they had him." Missing 05/08/2018. Reunited 05/14/2018. Welcome home Poochi-Cabezon! *** Testimonial From Jessica *** The picture posted by Lost Dogs Illinois of my dog was shared over 100 times. I believe that the person who had him must've seen it and that is why they decided to let him go. So incredibly appreciative to everyone who shared my dogs picture and to the Lost Dogs Illinois for acting so quickly after I registered him as lost.

Dear Artist, Submit art for consideration in our gallery. Artists follow guidelines on our website. www.urbanartretreat.com We keep gallery work manageable, and do not charge fees to artists.
An update: this past fall, a number of artists started meeting about organizing an Artists Network under the umbrella of CUARC newest community art program- Artists Peace Hub. It is a way to help our neighborhood grow & develop in a positively. We are helping a business district develop around Kedzie pink line stop. This district would have an emphasis on the arts.
First we plan to develop North Lawndale Area Artists Network for artists from this area & beyond. A core group of artists from North Lawndale area plus other artists are looking at possible space for a cooperative art gallery/cafe/youth art program. We have a building in mind. Also, we begin by offering benefits & responsibilities for artists who are interested in becoming a part of the program.
One benefit for artists: The gallery that Chicago Urban Art Retreat Center has on our current site- Liz Long Gallery, will begin in July 2018 through December 2018 showing group shows of their art. This will be a way to work together, get to know each other. These shows will be for artists who are involved in this project. Gallery needs your applications now to be included. contact@urbanartretreat.com
The last art show to take place in the gallery before this change takes place is on the theme: "About Discrimination". If you have art on the theme "About Discrimination", would like your art included for the month of June 2018, follow guidelines on website (art to arrive at gallery between May 28 - May 30, 2018) Please include your full name and complete street address. thank you, Dianna C. Long, curator
