Here's a question for you Alderman. If lead is so bad for people, why does the city charge very high permit fees when you replace your lead service line? Shouldn't the city waive those fees? Seems that would be the moral thing to do.

Dog waste

Even with gentrification, many people leave their neatly bagged dog waste on the parkway. Why because there aren't garbage cans close to the open areas where many people walk their dogs.
Recently, we were around Chicago & Ogden admiring the architecture of a beautiful old Catholic church. The dogs were in the car. We drove around the corner and let them out for a breather when I had to go back to the car to get a bag to pick up our surprise. Then came the fun part, looking for a garbage can. Drove one stinky block to dispose. Yuk! Many people just go back to their condo, they're not carrying a bag of sh** back home

The property at 2065 S Indiana Avenue says it's in Douglas, but that area is more Prairie District / South Loop I believe? The unit at 606 E Woodland Park Avenue doesn't look like you get a whole lot (and I'm not familiar with the quality of that building) but that's a nice area. That unit puts you minutes from the 31st Beach and pier and you're steps from the brand new pedestrian bridge they built on 35th (taking you directly to the Lake). I'd say there's still a moderate amount of crime in the area (you sometimes hear of things happening in and around Lake Meadows), but all-in-all, that's relatively quiet area.
bikeable is better than walk-able. Too many crime incidents in the area
