Lost Cat, Pilsen (18th and Ashland)

I lost my cat, Squirrel Saturday afternoon. The door was left open during a move and she got out.

She was last seen by my apartment at 18th Street and Ashland in the Pilsen neighborhood.

She is a 6 year old female domestic long hair. She is grey with some cream, tan and white markings. She has green eyes and a tipped left ear.

She was timid and is still slow to warm to strangers but has really started to come into her own. I have had her as an indoor house cat for the past 5 years in Chicago. I assume with her behavior and personality that she is likely scared and hiding somewhere right now.

I am distraught over the whole situation.

  • I used to bang canned food around my home to find my guys if they got out. Try that, and call her, maybe you'll find her. Good luck!!

  • She is probably hiding somewhere nearby. Put out her litter box. When it is quiet, go out and call to her. She could also have gotten into an open garage so check with your neighbors. I am confident she will find her way home. My friend lost her cat the same way and she came home 28 days later.

  • So sorry that you lost your cat. I think that there are several facebook and other sites where you can post your pictures and see if someone has found her. If you need help with that, I am happy to search other threads for the links.

    Hope this helps.

Ms. Jimenez is asking for $388.18:
My students need folders, hooks and labels. They need organization. Students thrive in a well organized classroom. When my students are given autonomy over their education they are more likely to be successful.

#12thWardSuccesses On December 15th, 2016 Alderman Cardenas announced La Villita Park was officially opened over the weekend. On opening day kids were all over it enjoying a warm December afternoon. Children playing is what we want to see and this park, more than 15 years in the making, will give them a safe place to play and will add needed green space to our Little Village community. Thank you to all the people that made it happen. Please frequent the park, make use of it and take ownership of it; both young and not so young. The park is located at 27th & Whipple.
