I lost my cat, Squirrel Saturday afternoon. The door was left open during a move and she got out.

She was last seen by my apartment at 18th Street and Ashland in the Pilsen neighborhood.

She is a 6 year old female domestic long hair. She is grey with some cream, tan and white markings. She has green eyes and a tipped left ear.

She was timid and is still slow to warm to strangers but has really started to come into her own. I have had her as an indoor house cat for the past 5 years in Chicago. I assume with her behavior and personality that she is likely scared and hiding somewhere right now.

I am distraught over the whole situation.

  • I used to bang canned food around my home to find my guys if they got out. Try that, and call her, maybe you'll find her. Good luck!!

  • She is probably hiding somewhere nearby. Put out her litter box. When it is quiet, go out and call to her. She could also have gotten into an open garage so check with your neighbors. I am confident she will find her way home. My friend lost her cat the same way and she came home 28 days later.

  • So sorry that you lost your cat. I think that there are several facebook and other sites where you can post your pictures and see if someone has found her. If you need help with that, I am happy to search other threads for the links.

    Hope this helps.

Alderman Danny Solis is at Lincoln United Met...

Yesterday I joined @CongressmanLuisVGutierrez at the Father's Day Kick-Off for our National Campaign to stop Family Separation/ Familias Unidas at Lincoln United Methodist Church. I'm endorsing a resolution in city councils across the country urging Congress to pass laws that keep families from being separated. I will introduce this resolution to Chicago City Council on June 27th, and I've received a commitment from Chicago Mayor's Office to take the resolution campaign to Mayors throughout the nation. A special thank you to Rev. Coleman and Rev Lozano Walter Coleman Emma Lozano for organizing such an impactful campaign. https://chicago.suntimes.com/immigration/gutierrez-slams-trumps-child-separation-immigration/

Gutierrez slams Trump's child separation, compares fear tactics to Nazi Germany
U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez on Sunday slammed President Donald Trump's immigration policy of separating children from their parents at the border and compared Trump's actions to those used in Nazi Germany. "He is using fear of the immigrant ... he is using prejudice ... you know who did that?"
