Piano teacher?

Hi, I'm looking for a piano teacher for my five year old. Any recommendations? We have a piano, so we're able to have someone come to us, if needed. Thanks!

  • These are great ideas, thank you! I also found a site, takelessons.com, where you can look within an area code and see reviews for a teacher, too. I'm going to check out the places you recommended, as well. Thank you!

  • Follow-up, I tried the takelessons.com and had a miserable experience. Wouldn't stop harassing me after I created a profile, and when I did try to enlist a teacher, the teacher backed out within 30 minutes. Was told I would have someone try and help find a replacement, but no one ever contacted me and I called to get a refund. So, just FYI! Now looking at other options.

The Radio Dept. play detachment off fleeting melodies to create engaging dream pop

Thu 2/1, 8:30 PM, Thalia Hall, 1807 S. Allport, $20-$25, $18 in advance, 17+

The Radio Dept. play detachment off fleeting melodies to create engaging dream pop
If not for the longing and deep-seated dread characteristic of many dream-pop songs, an artist like the Radio Dept. would float right out of our collective consciousness like a lost balloon-there'd be nothing to keep them grounded and present among the overlapping celestial washes of synthesizers and vocals if not for the foil of gloom.

New kind of veggie burger threatens old-school variety for title of Chicago's best
Can a veggie burger be great? If you'd asked me a few years ago, I'm not sure if I would have been able to answer yes. While I've had good ones, which completely satisfied the craving I had for something filling, portable and meatless, it's much easier to describe what a veggie burger shouldn't taste like - mushy, dry and crumbly - than what it should.
