The anti-Rahm rumbles on the South Side

Other South Side wards, including the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 20th and 21st, showed similar results. Emanuel won them soundly in 2011, lost their trust by February 2015 but regained enough momentum to beat Garcia in those same wards in a runoff.

The anti-Rahm rumbles on the South Side
As Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's plane touched down at O'Hare International Airport over the weekend, unrest some 24 miles southeast served as a menacing omen to his re-election plans. Emanuel had spent the week mingling with campaign donors and lobbyists on a trade trip to Asia.

Chicago ties run deep in the original 'Home Run Derby,' a short-lived TV show at (the other) Wrigley Field

Baez and Schwarber will be the 20th and 21st players representing Chicago teams in the made-for-TV spectacle — the key phrase being “made-for-TV.”

I lost my cat, Squirrel Saturday afternoon. The door was left open during a move and she got out.

She was last seen by my apartment at 18th Street and Ashland in the Pilsen neighborhood.

She is a 6 year old female domestic long hair. She is grey with some cream, tan and white markings. She has green eyes and a tipped left ear.

She was timid and is still slow to warm to strangers but has really started to come into her own. I have had her as an indoor house cat for the past 5 years in Chicago. I assume with her behavior and personality that she is likely scared and hiding somewhere right now.

I am distraught over the whole situation.

  • I used to bang canned food around my home to find my guys if they got out. Try that, and call her, maybe you'll find her. Good luck!!

  • She is probably hiding somewhere nearby. Put out her litter box. When it is quiet, go out and call to her. She could also have gotten into an open garage so check with your neighbors. I am confident she will find her way home. My friend lost her cat the same way and she came home 28 days later.

  • So sorry that you lost your cat. I think that there are several facebook and other sites where you can post your pictures and see if someone has found her. If you need help with that, I am happy to search other threads for the links.

    Hope this helps.
