Underground Pedway

How safe is the underground pedway near the museums? I know there's an entrance near 1100 S. Columbus Drive near the Aquarium. Input greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Sheila A. Donovan Have been an owner at the Stratford since 2001.

I've used the underpass to the museum campus countless times without a problem. In fact, I've never heard of anyone having a problem there, though like anywhere there might have been a few incidents. I consider it to be quite safe.

  • Thanks so much, everyone! I thought it was going to be completely underground, but it ended up being an open underpass as folks have mentioned. I'm curious to try the actual underground Pedway. I guess I should explore one of these days!

  • Yeah, why would want to place someone who indicates "Either Party"... you might end up with an independent judge rather than a right-wing partisan hack who wants to intimidate voters...

Indoor places for family pictures

I'm a stickler for taking family pictures every year, but this year I procrastinated and missed the fall season. Now it's way too cold to take outdoor pictures so I'm thinking this might give us an opportunity to take pictures at a cool location we wouldn't ordinarily use. Any suggestions?

You can view the area from the CTA Orange Line train how isolated and desolate is that ared, never seeing people on the ground in that area as the Orange Line row by. No wonder why it's a good hunting area for these scumbag hoodlums. There was a time when you have to watch out for a bunch of them hoodlums together, but nowadays, these hoodlums try not to make themselves look suspicious by "being" together in a group; they each strategize in a distance from each other, perhaps hand signals, then they converge and pounce on their preys. These low life hoodlums aren't as smart as they think they are. They have their karma coming to them.
