Suggestions for Block of Land For Sale

Hi Neighbors. We noticed that there is a for sale sign at a parking lot on the 2100 Block of South Indiana (adjacent to The Lex and across from the Wintrust Arena). Our community needs a full grocery store and a pharmacy. Any suggestions regarding how we can encourage these types of businesses into our developing neighborhood?

  • @Gary, got ya, thanks for clarifying!

There's a Walgreens on 22nd St. at the west end of Chinatown. I don't use it often, because I don't have a car. I'd hoped when they developed the building at the N.E. corner of Michigan and 22nd, that they'd put a Walgreens in there. Walgreens wants to develop only on corners, not mid-block. Problem is, they also want a parking lot. That building does have parking within the building, but if Walgreen's was interested, they would have developed it. Instead, the South Loop Market is there.

Criminal activity

Residents are not being notified of neighborhood criminal activity in a timely manner.
If residents and guests are not notified by the city or association management companies, the criminals are free to attack again until they are caught.
There must be a better notification system sent immediately once an attack is reported by a victim.

  • @JL

You're off your rocker if you think that will happen. The psycho who did that will be in prison for quite a while. There's just too much evidence against him.

However, I do wish they'd put as much effort into convicting ALL the murderers as they will with the commander's death.

    John Adams III
will be in prison for quite a while. So what your saying is he will get out
How about this. Bring back the death penalty so people like this will not be getting out of jail. Instead be carry out of jail
    Also your words not mine.
In a perfect world, not in Chicago. He'll sadly receive a slap on the wrist and be let back out sooner than you think.
