Criminal activity

Residents are not being notified of neighborhood criminal activity in a timely manner.
If residents and guests are not notified by the city or association management companies, the criminals are free to attack again until they are caught.
There must be a better notification system sent immediately once an attack is reported by a victim.

I will look into each of these suggestions and register for important notifications. A repeat criminal, robber and sexual assaulter was roaming the south loop and ready to attack again. Fast work by the CPD got him arrested. Instead of attacking innocent people he'll spend the rest of his days in jail.
Thank you to all who commented.

  • "he'll spend the rest of his days in jail."

In a perfect world, not in Chicago. He'll sadly receive a slap on the wrist and be let back out sooner than you think.

Suggestions for Block of Land For Sale

Hi Neighbors. We noticed that there is a for sale sign at a parking lot on the 2100 Block of South Indiana (adjacent to The Lex and across from the Wintrust Arena). Our community needs a full grocery store and a pharmacy. Any suggestions regarding how we can encourage these types of businesses into our developing neighborhood?

Lincoln was best, Nixon among the worst: Southland's history experts weigh in on presidential performance
Abraham Lincoln has been named the best president in American history in a very unofficial, very unscientific survey of a handful of local high school and college social studies teachers. "In large part because of his devotion to democracy," says Rob Shapiro, adjunct professor of political philosophy at Saint Xavier University on Chicago's southwest side.

  • Pacific Garden Mission feeds these people and a place to sleep overbite. They need additional services such as job readiness, counseling, more permanent housing arrangements. If you know of any of these places why not contact them to offer Pacific Garden help in getting THESE PEOPLE alternative places to get Help. It is tragic no different than the people living on Lower Wacker.

  • Jambo neighbor

In the meantime, the police should patrol this area frequently. Cameras should be placed in the area. People that live in the neighborhood should not walk in this area and try avoid driving anywhere around this building. It is too dangerous.

A couple of large data center projects near downtown have been proposed near McCormick Place, and 350 E. Cermak Road, which is one of the world's largest data centers. But neither of those appears close to breaking ground.
