1 Dead, at Least 6 Injured in Chicago Shootings Sunday

A 31-year-old man was shot four times in the leg in the 1400 block of South Kolin, according to police. Neither the victim nor witnesses would cooperate with authorities, and the victim is in serious condition at Mount Sinai.

Just before 5 a.m. Sunday, a 32-year-old man was inside a vehicle in the 6600 block of South Western when a person began firing at the car.

Earlier Sunday, two people were injured in a shooting in the 1900 block of North Lawndale, according to police.

During an argument in the 400 block of North McClurg Court just after 5 a.m., a person pulled out a gun and began shooting at a 40-year-old man, hitting him in the arm. The victim was taken to Rush Hospital and was listed in good condition, according to police.

A 36-year-old man is in serious condition after he was shot in the chest in the 4800 block of South Bishop at approximately 8:45 p.m. Circumstances of the shooting are unknown, according to police.

A 34-year-old man was in the 7200 block of South Paxton Avenue in the city’s South Shore neighborhood when someone shot him in the leg about 6:45 p.m. Friends took him to Jackson Park Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.

A 19-year-old man was driving in the 4500 block of South Vincennes Avenue in the Bronzeville neighborhood when he was shot about 5:55 p.m.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the foot in the 300 block of East 47th Street at 5:53 p.m., police said. He was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where he was stable.
