Man dies 4 years after West Side shooting

Police were patrolling the area when they heard gunshots near 1500 South Pulaski Road, according to Officer Michelle Tannehill, a police spokeswoman.

After driving around, they found a 31-year-old man in a parked vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head in the 1200 block of South Komensky Avenue, according to police.

Further investigation determined the shooting took place in the 1500 block of South Komensky Avenue, according to police data and information provided to the Tribune at the time.

    Man dies 4 years after West Side shooting
    A man died last fall from injuries he suffered in a shooting in 2013, the Cook County medical examiner's office has determined. Clarence Fuqua, 35, died Sept. 13 at Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston from complications from a remote gunshot wound to the head he suffered in 2013, a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office said Wednesday.
