    Chicago police issued an alert Thursday warning of a man driving a white van who tried to lure an 11-year-old girl in the West Pullman neighborhood. About 3:15 p.m. Tuesday on the Far South Side, a man driving a white van in the 11900 block of South Normal Avenue attempted to abduct a girl who was walking home from school, police said.

The Chicago Fire Department responded to the home in the 600 block of West 117th Street in the West Pullman neighborhood about 12:45 a.m., said Deputy District Commander Curtis Hudson.
