A 25-year-old was shot in the arm around 6:45 p.m. in the while standing on the sidewalk in the 10700 block of South Lowe Avenue in the Roseland neighborhood, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.
In the adjacent Fernwood neighborhood, a 29-year-old man was shot in the torso around 11 a.m. in the 10600 block of South Lowe Avenue.

The man was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital after officials said he confronted them with a gun during a chase around 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 4700 block of West Fulton Street in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
He was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 5200 block of South Ashland Avenue when someone got out of a black SUV and fired shots. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.
The woman was in the 300 block of South Kilpatrick Avenue in the West Garfield Park neighborhood around 1:15 a.m. when she heard shots and realized she had been hit in the leg, police said.
On the Northwest Side, a 50-year-old man was shot in the back in a domestic shooting in the Belmont Central neighborhood, police said. He was in an argument with someone he knew when the person shot him in the 2600 block of North Major Avenue.
Around 7 a.m. Tuesday, two men, 29 and 21, displayed weapons and tried to rob a business in the 300 block of West 75th Street in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
