One (1) Pocket projector and (1) portable projector screen for educational programs/seminars to prepare students to apply to college & nursing school for private small groups, youth groups and at schools

HOW SOON THE FUNDS ARE NEEDED:
* $332.28 by January 4, 2018 (For January 7th educational program)

BACKGROUND:
Chicago, IL | Founded in 2017, NursingInspired is a mentorship and educational program for ethnically underrepresented moreover African American youth high school students & young adults that seek to pursue a higher education & nursing career.

I am currently working with several young adults that are taking their prerequisites. The goal is to guide them with individualized preparatory "care plans" in their nursing school applications as well as group educational sessions.

In time, I seek to reach out to collaborate with various African American youth organizations and schools throughout the Southside of Chicago with educational programs, events and exposure to area nursing schools and organizations.

    this past Sunday, January 7th, 2018 was a success!

    Thank you 👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿 to all those who donated and spread the word
    about what I am seeking to execute with 💡NursingInspired👩🏾‍🏫.

    While the funds raised 💸 have still been coming in,
    I was not able to get the projector and screen in time.

    However, I was able to borrow, both a
    projector and projector screen from a close friend.
    💖Thank you, Erica Lamb!👼🏾

    In the meantime, mentees present at the session received:
    ✔️folders with their agenda and program materials.
    ✔️treat bags including "Future Nurse" writing pens to take note of the many time-saving tips to help them apply to nursing school,
    ✔️organizational binders to help them keep track of their top nursing schools they are applying to, as well as prepare them for school visits and interviews.

    Please continue to spread the word about this effort for
    African American❣️️🖤💚 youth in Chicago and the field of Nursing.

Man stabbed in chest in fight on Far South Side

The 43-year-old victim was stabbed during a fight in the 10600 block of South Champlain Avenue about 3:55 p.m. Thursday, according to a police media notification. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized.
