The man, identified by family members and the medical examiner as Jerome Fouch, was pronounced dead at 9:45 p.m. on scene in the 9200 block of South Dauphin Avenue, the block where he lived, in the Burnside neighborhood.

The man, whose age wasn’t immediately available, suffered a graze wound to the foot in the 10600 block of South Bensley Avenue in the Trumbell Park neighborhood, police said. He drove himself to Advocate Trinity Hospital where he was listed in good condition.

The man, identified by family members as Jerome Fouch, was pronounced dead on scene in the 9200 block of South Dauphin Avenue in the Burnside neighborhood.

The man was walking down the street in the 3400 block of West Belle Plaine Avenue when he was approached by two males who tried to rob him, police said.
