Christian Origel, of the 11200 block of South Green Bay Avenue in the Far South Side's East Side neighborhood, was charged Sunday with aggravated criminal sexual assault, according to a Chicago police news release.
The woman was abducted on Oct. 12 around 11:35 p.m. from the 10500 block of South Ewing Avenue in the East Side neighborhood, police said in a community alert released two days after the assault.
Her captor then took her to another location, sexually assaulted her, and then brought her back to 106th Street and South Ewing Avenue, police said.
Officers arrested Origel Friday in the 6900 block of South Stony Island Avenue in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.
