  • Don’t worry people, Illinois will pass several new gun laws soon and these types of incidents won’t happen anymore.

    Even a bat law?

  • paul in jefferson jefferson park resident

Crime that's all I hear, is the city a prison?

  • Randy
If you think, criminals will obey gun laws,
    you are very speciall...

This is happenig after years of disrespecting police officers...

  • Wow I guess no one speaks sarcasm anymore. Of course I know new gun laws won’t do anything. Every day criminals, even repeat offenders, are caught with possessing illegal firearms and they are given 12-18 month probation. No one is going to convince me that any new law presented on guns will deter murder and crime when criminals today are victimized and given slaps on the wrist for commiting felonies.

Some of the criminals described in these incidents are juveniles and as such they will never spend any time in prison if caught and they know it. They are out on the streets within 48 hours committing crimes again. The gun laws are in place, but the age of responsibility needs to be lowered to 14. If a juvenile uses a gun, he/she should have to serve the minimum jail time. Tough? Yes! Needed? Hell Yes!

  • Don't worry Randy, I got it. I wonder if a "no bats" sign would deter these enterprising young men? lol.

  • paul in jefferson jefferson park resident

How about a no dingbat sign for city politicians

  • Then Chiraq would be devoid of all those bottom feeders. 👍

Guns are shot around 5000 blocks of Bernice, always at night.and lots of bad elements in alleys.

  • I found a L.K. gang sign in my alley. Little scumbags have to mark things up. They think they "own" territory. Pathetic little swine.

  • Caught two youths with my bare hands breaking into my car..got into foot chase and caught them both..hardest part after damaged car and stolen laptop from car..arguing with the DA about not signing off on probation!! These kids/criminals need punishment for their actions. Take these low life’s and make them go do the nastiest jobs cleaning sewers, or shoveling poop...I’d rather spend my tax dollars having them sit in jail..because they commit a crime, back in the streets 48hrs later to do the same types of crimes all over again. City of Chicago wake up...politicians wake up!!! Otherwise, don’t get mad when “street justice” occurs!!

  • paul in jefferson jefferson park resident

Clark you are right about street justice.

  • Statistics show that criminals who have been shot
    commit less crimes...

  • CJC, you are on the right track but the age of responsibility should be 10. Many of the little thugs get their start way earlier than 14.
