Update: The 25th District and the Bureau of Detectives apprehended the shooter in the recent robbery/murder that occurred on Fullerton near Lavergne. Great job by these officers and great teamwork by the community and businesses in the area. We will continue to stay vigilant and organized. We support our police and the great work they do for our community. We are inviting all businesses in the area to attend this important meeting.

Just wanted to remind everyone about tomorrow...

Just wanted to remind everyone about tomorrows holiday festivities! Tomorrow, Saturday December 9th we will be holding our first ever Holiday Craft Fair. This event boasts over 40 vendors of HANDMADE arts and crafts and most of the artisans are from right here on the Northwest Side. The fair runs from 10 am to 4 pm and admission is just $1 (kids are free). Fundraisers like the craft fair supplement events like the FREE tree lighting that will be following the craft fair. From 3:30 pm-5:30 pm we will be holding our annual playground tree lighting. This event offers music, cocoa, FREE sleigh rides thru the park and even a visit and pictures with the big man himself! I hope you will all consider attending. Portage Park is located at Central and Irving on the Northwest Side.
