The most recent heist took place shortly after 10 a.m. at a TCF Bank branch inside a Jewel-Osco, 3531 N. Broadway in the city’s Lakeview East neighborhood, according to the FBI.

Less than a half an hour earlier about 16 miles south, someone else robbed a TCF located at 87 W. 87th St., the FBI said.

Man charged with shooting at police officers

Lyntrell Armstead Jr., of the 4700 block of West West End Avenue, is charged with two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon as well as possession of a firearm without a serial number, according to a news release from the Chicago Police Department.

Armstead was arrested Friday around 5:45 p.m. after officers were called to the 5200 block of West Adams Street in the South Austin neighborhood for a report of a person with a gun matching his description, police said.

2 teen boys accused of taking vehicles by gunpoint on South, West sides

Officers saw a Dodge Charger and a Land Rover driving erratically in traffic Jan. 12. The Charger crashed into a cement barrier in the 7500 block of South Lafayette Avenue, and a 17-year-old jumped out and got into the Land Rover which was being driven by the younger boy, police said.

Officers spotted the Land Rover in the 8700 block of South State Street, which fled to the 8000 block of South Michigan Avenue where the teens fled on foot, police said.

Woman charged with armed robbery after holding up stores with stun gun

T’Keyah Herbert of the 2900 block of South Dearborn Street was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and retail theft over $300, police said.

About 3:15 p.m. the next day, Herbert went to a store in the 1500 block of North Clybourn Avenue and got into an argument with employees before pulling out a stun gun and threatening them. She then grabbed merchandise and fled, said police.
