Russ Gremel spent his life giving back to his community. He spent more than 60 years serving as a Boy Scout leader to a Jefferson Park troop, and last year he donated more than $2 million in Walgreens stocks to create a bird sanctuary. His legacy serves as an inspiration to be generous with our time, compassion, and - when we have the privilege to do so - our money. Visitation is scheduled for May 3 and 4 at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave., with funeral services on May 5 at the Congregational Church of Jefferson Park, 5320 W. Giddings St. http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-biz-scout-leader-donated-walgreens-stock-20180423-story.html
