The neighbors actually forced the 'church' out as they played REALLY loud music 3 nights a week until 1 or 2 in the morning (waking up a number of babies..) and were very disrespectful to the neighborhood (and we got tired of picking up their trash and empty cans they threw on the ground as they left. No one lived in the neighborhood.) Also, churches not 'god-fathered' in are to have a parking lot and they didn't want to rent anything to keep going.
The alderman (that was when Aldermen actually help neighborhoods) had a joint meeting ..which I attended ..and SHE noticed that they didn't speak to 'women'...to her when they had to, to me.. not at all...
The space inside this home is REALLY small, very small yard, they have to put their garbage cans on the street corner...and that said, I wonder who is going to buy....

Forget what the forecast says, or the sky, for that matter. Chicago is ready for spring. While patience - sometimes a lot - is often required at this time of year, there's no better reward than warm weather in the city. And once that hits, we know how to enjoy ourselves.

What about Buffalo? New Buffalo? Detroit? Duluth, MN?

I’ve often wondered whether “Third Coast” refers to the “coast” of all the Great Lakes or if each lake (and/or each side of each lake) is its own “coast.”

Or if a “coast” refers to a seashore and none of the above is a “coast.”

But the Coast Guard does cover the Great Lakes.

    So, no clarity.

Two Found Slain Inside Logan Square Home

Just after 4 a.m. on Monday, officers were called out to Cortland and Lawndale on reports of two people shot.

Two Found Slain Inside Logan Square Home
CHICAGO (CBS) - Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Logan Square. Just after 4 a.m. on Monday, officers were called out to Cortland and Lawndale on reports of two people shot. When they got there, they found a man and woman with gunshot wounds to the head.

  • My guess upon looking at the FB profile of one of the victims (and the city in MX she was from) was that it was a cartel hit.

  • What is wrong with making the claim this may be more than a simple domestic issue? Crime happens in this city. We have a HUGE, massive gang operation that is directly related to the Sinaloa cartel and El Chapo. He's been making news again so perhaps there is some connection. Not sure why this was down-voted when it was just a guess and could be topical. This is the kind of crime that has cartel hit written all over it.
