  • LFRP, oh look my comment that you replied to about the 43% was removed. WTF? "Leave me out of it"... as a particular individual does the exact opposite and very much puts themselves in it, discussion wise. I think I'm ready to ditch everyblock altogether because I'm getting 0 out of it.

This year we cut the ribbon on two exciting park projects: a brand new playground at Senn Park (Elmdale and Greenview) and a new dog park along the Lakefront Trail at Bryn Mawr. Both of these projects would not have been possible without the support and involvement of community members.

Following a three-year fundraising campaign, the Swedish American Museum (5211 N. Clark St.) installed a fiberglass replica of their iconic wooden water tank atop the building this summer...

Gallery 1070 (1070 W. Granville) is a new arts gallery and event space run by Edgewater Artists in Motion. We look forward to enjoying community events in this space in the new year.

The Edgewater community has a diverse arts community but is strongest in small theater/performing arts.

The difference between the 48thward and 46th ward is stark and obvious to anyone in a position to notice.

Cultural development in the 46th ward has been extremely underserved and neglected by Alderman Cappleman. Less support, less programming, less public art, fewer outdoor fairs...just one a canned "Ribfest".

Every cultural development category Cappleman has failed in, the evidence is real and actual.

I wonder if there's anything the owners can do to raise the profile Of that Hutch location so that people passing by on Clark Street will know it's there and open?

On a related note, does anyone here have any information on what might be going in to the other half of that space that does front itself on Clark Street?
