Lost Wallet

I lost my wallet this morning in the area of Greenleaf - Glenwood - Morse. It's a black tri-fold fabric wallet with my ID, credit cards, and other information. I have canceled the credit cards and I'm having new ones issued.

If anyone finds anything that would have my name on it, please let me know. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Energy Scam Folks Making Their Rounds

I just had a man knock HARD on my front window while ringing the doorbell, and THEN jiggling the door handle excessively hard. I came from a back room and saw him walking down the front steps and I thought it may have been a delivery driver, so I opened the door (oops) and he came flying back up the steps with the whole spiel of "Just need to see your energy bill, etc." I politely told him no thanks,...

Told him "no thank you, I'm not interested", and closed the door. He then went huffing across my lawn hollering about how black men in Chicago don't get any respect...
So, that was pleasant.
He was wearing a blue polo, tan pants, lanyard around his neck and had dreads.

Just an FYI to the people in the Pratt/Wayne area.

So sorry you had to deal with it. One keeps you occupied while another sneaks in the back?

PTM, that was another thought I had. Thankfully, our backyard is gated and locked.

Is RogersEdge a real place?

The President of the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce has decided it would be a good idea to proclaim that "Rogers Edge [sic] was a bad marketing idea, and is not a real location in the City of Chicago!"

That seems to have sparked a debate on a lesser known Rogers Park facebook page about the matter. It's quite a good one.

So what say you Everyblock, Is RogersEdge a real location or not?

  • MandaLeigh Here I Is.

I came across that FB thread today. It really was entertaining.

  • Helen NoH North of Howard for 55 + years

I'm not sure whether Loyola came up with the name or the Rogers Park Business Alliance did, but JMG is exactly right that the chamber guy's nose is out of joint. I perused the thread late last night. It's a hoot.
