Electrician Recommendations For Installing Cable Wires in Walls?

Hey Everyone,

I am buying a condo that has cable wired for the living room and the master bedroom. However, I want to move the cable hookup to the opposite wall in the living room and add a hookup to the spare bedroom.

Any suggestions/recommendations for electricians in the area who can do this type of work? I know Comcast would run the wires, but they won't run them through walls so that is out.

Also, anyone have experiences with this and roughly how much it cost? All answers appreciated.

Thanks!

Daniel D., I don't know if you've tried Roma's, but they have great Italian Beef sandwiches IMO. Kudos to Jay's too on Naragansett, I frequent them as well. Another option in the neighborhood is Paterno's, they have sandwiches called "Incredibles" that are served on garlic bread, including Italian Beef sandwiches. The owner/operators of all three of these establishments are very friendly and customer orientated. While their decors are dated, their customer service skills are still in vogue.

My favoite Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood is Pueblo Nuevo, Maria and her home made Pozole on the weekends, it doesn't get any more authentic than that. Old family recipe brought from south of the border. Simon's on Milwaukee Ave, where the Old Palatpita used to be, is very good. They had to work out some kinks when they first opened, but the owner/operator took the criticism in stride and made improvements. First two times I got my food made with onion, after specifically asking for them to omit them--in English and Spanish. Owner apologized for the glitch and made the orders over. It hasn't happened since and I've been there at least 20 more times. He handled the situation perfectly IMO. Taqueria La Estrella is very good and they deliver too! I agree with other posters about Amigo Chino......can't figure out what the attraction is, tried it twice and was disappointed in the food quality both times....presentation was great, portions were huge, but it just didn't taste good.

Mom's Old Mexican is one of those places I've been meaning to try, but just haven't got around to it yet. I met the owner at a local event and she seemed like a very nice lady. People that I've talked to that have been there rave about her establishment.

I have to admit that I'm somewhat taken aback by a business owner labeling people cowards and crybabies because they received some negative feedback.

Big article on Milo, about how he's employed by the very ultra Mercers, in the new issue of Vanity Fair.

Inactive: "go out of my way to make it my business" -- the policies of the government. are everyone's business. Perhaps you are comfortable living with the status quo, or whatever is imposed upon you, but some of us want to sustain rights we currently have (and even use them!). You protest the protesters on EveryBlock, out of fear of them? I hope you aren't taking work time to make these comments. People who don't work nights probably don't have to take a day off to either attend or protest an evening event.

  • No wonder you have so much false information! You are taking info from articles like this one as fact!

"the policies of the government. are everyone's business. "

What government policy? We are talking about a book author. Not a government policy.

"Perhaps you are comfortable living with the status quo, or whatever is imposed upon you, "

No one imposed Milo on anybody.

@mute, TNR Colony Caretakers are required to take their cats to the vet each year for vaccines and a check-up. They accomplish this by humanely trapping the cats. Not all vets in Chicago will see feral cats, but the Colony Caretakers know which ones will.

Most of the cats will come at dusk (twilight) or dawn and pretty much come the same time every day as long as the Caretaker is consistent in putting the food out at the same time. This is when the Caretakers notice if there is a cat that is "missing" or a cat has an illness of some sort. No, the Caretaker won't be able to get up close and personal with the cats, but they can generally be close enough to see if there is an issue with one of them. If they have an illness, they will humanely trap them and bring them to a vet.

It's not ideal for a cat to be outside, but if a cat is feral it cannot be brought inside and kept as a pet. As @DebbieM mentioned, the ones that are strays and not ferals (and kittens) are generally brought inside and put into the foster system so that homes can be found for them.

I haven't heard any TNR group or Rescue Organization say that it's okay to keep non-feral cats outside. That's part of the purpose of TNR, to reduce the outdoor cat population by spaying or neutering the cats so that they don't keep reproducing, so there are ultimately less cats outside.

  • There is often confusion between feral cats and stray cats.

There is often confusion between feral cats and stray cats.

How can I tell the difference between stray cats and feral cats?

This can be very difficult to figure out. One way to start is to determine if you can pet the cat. If you can, she is either not feral or she is feral and has bonded to you as her caretaker. The opposite is equally confusing. A cat that does not allow human contact is not necessarily feral. She may be feral, or she may be a frightened domesticated cat that has recently become lost.

To further complicate things, feral cats can be classified as totally feral, semi-feral, or reverted feral. Semi-feral cats and reverted feral cats can become very bonded with their caretakers and will often eventually let you touch them, vocalize, or eat in front of you.

    Can feral cats live indoors?

Unfortunately, wild, undomesticated animals are not suitable for adoption. Imagine a raccoon loose in your home. He would be terrified and would try to find a way out. That is exactly what would happen if an adult feral cat were let loose indoors. While opinions vary in animal rescue, with a proper socialization plan, kittens born outside have an opportunity to be socialized.

Can feral cats be socialized and then adopted out to good homes?

Even with the best efforts is usually nearly impossible to socialize a feral adult cat to the level where it is comfortable to be around humans other than his original caretaker(s).

The Basilones offered to host protesters at their Perkolator Cafe, 6032 W. Irving Park Road, posting in the event page that "Hate has no home in the Irving Austin Business District, period."
