  • Emily, those were the vetting procedures under the Obama administration. How sure are you that they are all that can be done? The Trump administration wants to review those procedures and perhaps tighten them, but he may leave them as is. And yes, I am fine with that. President Trump is responsible for the vetting procedures now and along with the responsibility he has to right to update/modify the procedures he is now responsible for.

I did not agree with suspending entry to green card holders, but had no issues with anyone else. It wasn't a good idea to block those in flight but I will defer to the administration and let them justify it. Campaign rhetoric does play a role but we all know that many things are said on the campaign trail that are simply wishful thinking, once elected the rules come into play and things change because they are now accountable.
