Carriage Horse

So this was strolling down Granville just now in front of Pete's. Please tell me this isn't going to become a thing.

  • Pam Spacek rogers park

This is horrific! I, too, would love to see horse-drawn carriages banned completely. And you are so right about the pony rides. I really believe those horses are drugged so they don't know anything but plod, plod, plod So much animal welfare work needs to be done

  • Who would adopt, feed, house and provide veterinarian care for all these out of work horses and ponies if they couldn't make a living? They make very large pets and city people couldn't adopt them. The City can't adopt them.

Would you want to send them off some place and have them turned into meat? There aren't even enough adoption homes for all the puppies and kitties and bunnies and hamsters that end up in shelters. Where would all the horses go? You can't just turn them lose in the woods. There has to be a retirement plan of some kind. What would you do?

Hit and a run to parked car

My vehicle was hit while I sat in the car at Chipotle (5224 N Broadway St) yesterday. The woman ran and I tried to follow her but stopped when she almost hit a pedestrian. She was driving a black Jeep Wrangler Rubicon or similar vehicle. I believe it had personalized red license plates with the word RETZ.
If anyone has any info on this vehicle please message me or contact the police.
My girlfriend got a few pictures but they’re pretty blurry.

  • Um, is this girlfriend aware that she will be arrested for this?!

Thanks everyone for your comments and concerns. This has been completely resolved. Thanks again Erin!

Wait a minute Rob. "Nessie" was a Lives nickname for me, I think because my last name is Neff; kind of a play on words. I know, it doesn't quite work, but it makes absolutely no sense at all to use it on Headsup. Has "Nessie",lol, become sort of a generic insult that is transferable to anyone now? I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed.

No it wasn't, You just weren't paying enough attention.

Clarinetist Ben Goldberg and keyboardist Michael Coleman bring new perspectives to work by experimental jazz composer Steve Lacy

Clarinetist Ben Goldberg and keyboardist Michael Coleman bring new perspectives to work by experimental jazz composer Steve Lacy
Bay Area clarinetist Ben Goldberg thrives in sparse settings, where the sere bite of his melodically fluid lines can stand out in stark contrast to surrounding silence. He's got a keen sense of time, and some of his strongest efforts have been drummer-free projects, such as his new duo recording with New York cornetist Kirk Knuffke.
