LBP’s Cinderella will feature more than 50 student dancers from Ravenswood Manor, Albany Park, Lincoln Square, Northcenter and surrounding neighborhoods. This professional-style production offers a family-friendly opportunity to enjoy the grace, beauty and magnificence of ballet through a familiar story.

Le Ballet Petit is a non-profit dance school founded 50 years ago by Kitty LaPointe, a professional ballerina and Ravenswood Manor mom. LBP, still located in the Ravenswood Manor neighborhood, now offers dance education to more than 300 students, aged three to adult, through classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, hip-hop, tap and more. In addition to a year-end Annual Recital, LBP students have the opportunity to perform in two full-length, professional-style ballet performances each year, including Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and an annual spring ballet, such as Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet or Coppèlia. Le Ballet Petit is also home to the Living By Performing Dance Company, which performs competitively around the region and nationally.

Gunshots fired last night

Did anyone else hear that? About 2:30am roughly 8-10 shots were fired fairly close by. Anyone know what happened or what that was? Is everyone ok? Scary....

  • Call 911 if you hear anything. Attend 1723's CAPS meeting to report these incidents and the cars involved.

  • inssane North Sider since 1981

That's too bad, not much has slowed down.
I will keep an eye for those cars as I travel these areas along Irving frequently.

Jezz - race? In what capacity did her phone get stolen? Do they just pull up to you while you are walking?

Not to stir the pot, but these are perfect examples why I have my CCL now.
    Stay safe
