neighborhood safety?

I'm considering moving into the 3300 block of W. Cullom. Can anyone tell me about the safety of that area? I have a young child so safety is a priority for me. Any other pros and cons? Thanks very much!

Everyone does indeed have an opinion. Police obviously see the worst of everything. To be honest, I think you will be hard pressed to find an area of Chicago that does not have some gang crime right now. You can google the gang maps in Chicago. They're everywhere, especially as the big bosses have been arrested or killed and factions have developed. We moved out of Lakeview because of crime. I feel much safer here than I did there (there is significantly less opportunity crime here). We are not involved in things that will make us a target for gangs so I feel relatively safe. You will see graffiti, but we don't see groups of youths hanging out on corners and in alleys in all hours like we did in Lakeview. You need to feel safe though so do what you feel is best.

Go by Volta's school yard and you'll see all kinds of activity and kids hanging out at all hours.

  • Our Books Need Organization and Respect

Ms. Koehler is asking for $533.25:
My students need book carts with bins for our author study and nonfiction books. Right now they're in bins on shelves that don't allow them to be easily accessed.

Hello, I am looking to rent a parking space in the Albany Park area. The closer to Central Park the Leland the better. I don't really care if its indoor, outdoor, covered or uncovered, just need somewhere where i can consistently park. If you know of anything please let me know.

Parking!

Seems like parking is pretty scarce around on this block. Can you park on Montrose overnight? Where does everyone park?
