This isn't a particularly hyped type of place, but it does seem to be fairly popular in the new neighborhood I moved to. Just wanted to share my experience for anyone who might happen across it.
Absolutely atrocious. Delivery arrived damaged and the driver handed me my food in various boxes outside the bag. I told him I didn’t want to accept the order because it was mostly damaged and leaking and I couldn’t even get it inside in the state it was in. He more or less shrugged and said take it up with the restaurant. This jerk didn’t even bother to help me carry it upstairs even though it was no longer in deliverable condition.
Called the restaurant to complain and they said they could make me a new order. I declined because I’m not waiting another two hours to deal with the same delivery guy. They said they would refund. When I didn’t get an email saying it was refunded, I called Grubhub. Shocker, the restaurant never called to refund. Grubhub then had to contact the restaurant, who admitted they had received my call but not taken action, and again, offered to remake the order. No dice. I demanded a refund for the portion of my order that was damaged and inedible and for the driver's tip to be refunded.
Even the items that were not damaged were just terrible. A burger and fries are not supposed to be so damp they are falling apart and the Buffalo fries were missing the chicken and bleu cheese that were supposed to come on them (also completely soggy and inedible, I could mush them with a fork they were so soft). I've tried this restaurant once before and they left an item out of the order, but their Cobb salad was great so I decided to give them another shot. Mistake on my end.
Terrible food, terrible service and the delivery guy should be fired. You don't hand someone destroyed, leaking boxes of food, refuse to take it back and not even help them get the order inside. Anyone in the Belmont Cragin and Elmwood Park area steer clear.
