Hi neighbors. Hit and run at 4135 n Drake. Dark 4 door suv was Nb drake but lost control, made a u turn and fled sb drake. At least 2 cars hit, 1 appears a total loss.

  • Actually five vehicles got damaged. Three on the side where the camera is and two on the other side.

  • ward greenleaf Smokey and the Bandit, Hooper, Cannonball Run...

What a jerk. Thanks for posting the good video

I'm getting a nest cam, that's a great video. Guessing that driver was wasted.

  • Let the insurance companies do their jobs and thank that no one was hurt. This is very low priority to police even with a full license plate, they will only pursue the matter if someone gets hurt or killed. My car got hit 2 years ago by a scumbag and even with a full license plate and drivers description absolutely mothing was fone, oh, i had to pay the $500 deductible to have my car fixed because my insurance pursued her but she had no insurance. MOVE ON and be safe.

  • Yep, everyone should just MOVE ON as eyeinthesky says...... We should all just let people destroy our properties and break the law and leave it in the hands of insurance companies to take further advantage of us.

$500 is still a chunk of change for something that wasn't your fault.

Its possible the driver lives around here. Until the owner's vehicle gets fixed, maybe someone here will spot the damaged SUV and 5 different shades of paint.

No one should wake up to a wrecked vehicle and have to pay for it. If this person wanted to do the right thing they would have by now.

  • @ Admiral and Eric, I share your pain and agree, it's not fun having to foot the deductible money for damage some spineless creep incurs. When this creep run into the back of my car while I was parked with my wife and kids inside, luckily, no one was hurt. The female came out of her car momentarily , but took off when I tried to exchange insurance info. I got her license plate and the nicest police officer showed up and tracked down the female down to full name, address and age, from there, I contacted my insurance agent and everything nice. Long story short, after one year and $500 later my insurance informed me that my case against the culprit had been closed, since she had no insurance and denied ever being involved in an accident. So I was left with two choices, 1) forget about it or 2) pursue the culprit muself, not a good idea, I found out through her Facebook account that she is an active scumbanger and Dealer. So did I pursue her, hill no!! There's no telling what reaction she'll have when I ring her door bell and demand my $500 lol. So you find out who he is and where he lives, then what?

She sounds like a great girl. Karma will catch up to here if it already hasn't.

The police or your insurance could have went to bat more for you though. Since she was uninsured the state can go after her license until she pays for damages.

  • Nope, When your insurance is unable to collect, they will sell her debt to a collection agency and report it a loss at tax time.

What if you don't have full insurance on your vehicle, and your insurance doesn't cover the hit-and-run damage?

  • @bob, in that case, you incur the loss, depending on the amount of loss, you may be able to deduct something off of taxes.

then your option is to find the responsible party and see if you can sue to recover losses incurred.

  • ward greenleaf Smokey and the Bandit, Hooper, Cannonball Run...

    Bob, you are them SOL!
