We used to live in a neighborhood that had scrap metal people come by. No longer. Our gas/charcoal grill rusted and we replaced it. No idea how to get rid of the old one. Any ideas? Neither of us have the capacity to move it further than our backyard alley access.
Boring, but any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you. I didn't know that was a thing you could look up. Our last neighborhood was a junker!

  • Seriously? Try putting it next to your garbage can on pickup days.

Yes, seriously. Our neighborhood is kind of like a gated but ungated place, and we don't have alley pick up. I'd hear about it. I'm not like them, but want to be respectful. We live in a weird enclave. Not an option here hence the question.

Do you have Chicago garbage pick up at all? If so, can you put it out next to your can on pick-up day? We have many streets in this area with no alleys, so trash is picked up from the street - old grills included.

Thanks everyone. I guess I'll do that. Just liked when people appreciated picking up metal.

  • Craigslist or Freecycle? Gotta be scrappers that scan there for free grabs.

@ Jillian Kegley Take it to a scrap yard, then buy some bling with the cha- ching!
